Getting Started

Prerequisites

Before you can join the Netherdragon Network, make sure you have the following:

A Minecraft account (Java Edition)
The minecraft Launcher (preferrably the latest version)
A good internet connection

Once you have the prerequisites, you can look at the instructions on the homepage on how to connect to the server.

For new players

If you're new to the Netherdragon Network, here are some tips to get you started:

Explore the server and discover all the unique features we offer.
Join our community on Discord to connect with other players and stay updated on the latest news.
Read our rules and guidelines to ensure a positive experience for everyone.

Rules

1. Respect the community

No harassment, hate speech, or discrimination.
No excessive toxicity or personal attacks.
Keep chat friendly and welcoming.

2. Cheats and Exploits

Exploiting plugin weaknesses or security leaks is strictly forbidden.
Hacked clients, X-Ray texture packs, autoclickers or macros are banned except on the Anarchy World.
If you find a bug, report it instead of abusing it.

3. Fair Gameplay

No scamming or IRL trading.
Combat logging results in death.
Avoid disrupting the gameplay of others.

4. Server Performance

Do not intentionally cause lag or disrupt server performance.
Redstone contraptions should be optimized.
Report any performance issues to the staff team.

5. Chat Rules

No spamming or advertising without permission.
No inappropriate or NSFW content.
Use common sense when communicating.

6. Punishments

Breaking the rules may result in warnings, mutes, kicks, or bans depending on the severity of the offense.
Repeated violations may lead to more severe consequences.
Appeals can be made on our Discord server if you believe you were punished unfairly.

Ranks

What are ranks

Ranks are a way to show your contribution and status within the NetherDragon Network.
They each have unique perks and permissions.

How to join the team

You can ask for a position in the channel #team-applications of our Discord server.

Admins

Admins have the highest authority in the NetherDragon Network team. They can warn, kick, mute or ban players and have control over their assigned server.

4/4 positions are occupied.

Moderators

Moderators manage players and ensure a friendly atmosphere. They can warn, kick or mute players and can ban players under administrator consent.

2/8 positions are occupied.

Helpers

Helpers watch out for rule breakers and guide new players. They can report players to moderators and warn them.

0/8 positions are occupied.

Devs

Devs create plugins, datapacks or mods for the server. They also have access to a github repo and a test server.

Builders

Builders build lobbies, hubs, spawns and maps.

Creators

Creators post content on social media to increase the server's popularity.

Permission Abuse

A NetherDragon Network team member gets punished if he abuses their elevated permissions, for example by:

Banning players for no reason
Disrupting fair gameplay
etc...

The following actions will be upon breaking the rules of a team member's current role:

They will get PERMANENTLY BANNED from the entire Network
They will get PERMANENTLY BANNED from the Discord Server
They will lose their server account data, including ranks, items and in-game money

These security measures exist, to protect the server from permission abuse and keep everything fair for everyone.
